SAT
SAT, Stand for Scholastic Assessment Test, is a standardized written test sponsored by the American College Board, also known as the American College entrance examination.
The SAT score is the first step in proving a student’s academic quality.
That is to say, the SAT score is the first stepping stone to judge whether students can enter a top American school or even the Ivy League. Only with this stepping stone can they have the strength to compete with other students.
SAT has a total score of 1600, divided into reading and math tests, each accounting for 800 points. The reading test has added more articles related to American culture, that is to say, SAT is becoming more and more popular in America.
Also in the new version of SAT, the essay is classified as a separate project. Whether or not to write an essay depends on the students, but the quality of the essay is still one of several criteria valued by admissions officers. Needless to say, the score of SAT and the quality of the essay will affect the application of scholarship.
The duration of the SAT exam is three and a half hours, of which the Math test is the longest, 80 minutes, Writing and Language test 100 minutes (65 minutes for reading, 35 minutes for grammar), and essay is 50 minutes.
Mcgill |
